Our direct care worker will provide assistance and care to the elderly and the developmentally or physically disabled. Direct care workers have patience, empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a detailed knowledge of best care practices. Champion Home HealthCare Inc. direct care workers provide a number of services depending on the needs of the individual; these might include running errands, helping patients move around their homes, or counseling individuals on independent living. We also:
•Help the elderly or physically disabled move from room to room around their homes.
•Assist individuals in dressing, bathing, and completing basic hygiene tasks.
•Oversee any required rehabilitation exercises.
•Ensure that individuals take their prescribed medications.
•Prepare meals that adhere to special dietary considerations.
•Assist with light cleaning and housework.
•Teach developmentally disabled adults how to adopt basic independent living skills.
•Help adults with developmental disorders learn to make a budget and complete basic household tasks.
•Meet with family to discuss needs of patients.
•Run errands to the grocery store, laundromat, cleaners, drugstore, and other necessary locations.
•Serve as a companion for the elderly who live alone.
•Organize activities for patients.
